We were trying to potty train our little man and decided this would work better than a step stool in front of the toilet or trying to get our son to reach over and hold the toilet seat while he goes. It is way better. This made potty training him much easier because it's a frog face and what child doesn't like colorful frogs? We were able to place it at just his height. Our even has taken to dumping the contents of the easily removable container into the toilet with no mess. We were having a very difficult time getting our son potty trained and this helped us turn the corner on it.
My 2.5 year old was not thrilled about peeing in the potty. This made it a game and he can't wait to pee in the froggy! I saw some reviews that complained about size. It is small, but it that isn't a complaint! It's meant for toddlers! I also saw some complaints that the suction cups won't stick to the walls; keep in mind, suction cups will not stick to plaster. We used the stick'em hook. We love this! Enjoy!
This is a cute urinal. There are two ways you can install it. The easy way is a suction cup. This is the way we choose to do it. Since our walls are textured we did not hang it in the bathroom. Ours is hanging on our chest freezer. The great thing about the suction cup way is if your son has a growth spurt you can easily move it up higher. The other way to install is to use two screws. One behind each eyeball. There are grooves for you to slide it onto the screws. The bowl/mouth of the frog lifts out easily. Making it easy to dump and wash/rinse. It took a few days for my son to take to peeing in it. At first he wanted to play with the red spinner with his hand. So far in the time we have had this he has used it properly, with no spills three times. When he does hit the spinner he laughs and sometimes that causes his aim to act up. But he`s getting there. He just has to get over the laughing lol. Potty training is stressful. But at least this is fun to look at and no pee on the toilet seat. I love the fact I can easily move it up. My son has been going through some massive growth spurts. Seems like overnight he can grow an inch or two. So adjustable is a must when it comes to potty training. This has helped his aim so much.
My 2.5 year old son doesn't like to sit and pee. He does like to stand and pee... on the kitchen floor, on his room table, on trees outside, on the rug that is impossible to clean. So I thought maybe he would like to use a urinal. He does! It's better than sitting on the toilet seat and a lot cleaner. It's easier for him to aim and hit the urinal. He also likes to aim and hit the wheel inside the urinal and make it spin. The size is perfect for a little kid. It's small if you are expecting to be able to use if for older children or adults (but why would you?).
